Marcian Hoff
He was born October 28, 1937 at Rochester, New york. He recieved a BEE from Rensselear Polytechnice Institure. During the summers away from college he worked for general Railway Signal Company in Rochester where he made devlopments that produced he first two patents. He attened Stanford as a National Science Foundation Fellow and recieved a MS and Ph.D in electrical engineering.



He joins a newly formed company Intel as employee number 12 and was influential because he designed the computer-on-a-chip microprocessor. In 1971 Intel intoduces the microcomputer idustry with the Intel (4004) microprocessor.
